The Shimano XTR and XT disc brake adapter for 160 mm rotors has weight-optimising cut-outs that allow you to save valuable grams. Of course it works not only with the top groupsets for which it was developed, but also with other Shimano disc brakes. The adapter allows a post mount brake caliper to be mounted on an IS fork or IS frame. There is also a version for adapting a PM frame for 140 mm direct mount to a PM brake with 160 mm rotor.
