Product Test: Shimano Ultegra C36 - An everyday aero wheelset for modern road bikes
Jonas tested the Shimano Ultegra C36 carbon wheelset on his Specialized Tarmac at the training camp in Mallorca. Here are his impressions.
Shimano Dura-Ace
More options and more comfort – that’s how I would describe my impressions after an exclusive test of the new Dura-Ace R9200 and Ultegra R8100. The now-wireless shift and brake grips are easier to grip thanks to ergonomic improvements, and offer noticeably more grip with an aerodynamic posture. Both groupsets, now equipped with 12-speed drives, are offered exclusively in the electronic Di2 version.
The Shimano Dura-Ace is the top of the line among road bike derailleurs. All parts are perfectly matched to each other and guarantee optimum power transmission and shifting with the highest precision. As of now, it includes 12-speed drive, ergonomically optimised, wireless shift and brake levers, with discs or as a rim-braked version. With the new Dura-Ace, you are now even lighter on the road.
Shimano Ultegra
Shimano 105
The Shimano 105 is the groupset of choice for those who have just discovered road cycling, or for experienced cyclists who don’t care about every last gram when retrofitting. It is robust, has a good grip, comes in the usual Shimano quality and also looks quite nice. In short, the Shimano 105 impresses with a great price-to-performance ratio.
