Technology:
FACTFACT stands for " Functional Advanced Composite Technology" and encompasses all of Specialized's expertise in handling carbon fibers. It is a holistic approach that primarily concerns frames but is also found in many components such as handlebars, stems, saddles, etc. The starting point is always the awareness of the needs of riders and the ability to meet them. Then, it moves on to selecting the fibers, resins, and weave layers, where the quality of the carbon and the arrangement of the fiber layers play an important role. It's about finding the right setup for the given project and the intended location or area of use. It is often necessary to differentiate from model to model at several points. In the final step, attention is paid to processing the material in a way that allows the desired advantages in terms of low weight, rigidity, and stability to be achieved.
Rider-First Engineered
Rider-First Engineered describes the design approach used by Specialized to precisely match each frame size to the target group. Simply put, smaller frames for smaller riders are built differently than larger frames for larger riders. This is done based on performance parameters determined in practical tests, taking into account the forces acting on different areas of the bike when riders of different sizes ride it. Based on this analysis, the optimal tube dimensions and appropriate carbon fiber layup for each frame size are determined. This way, you can be sure that no matter what your height is, you will receive a bike that delivers optimal and controllable performance suited to your size.
