The Gambit MIPS full-face helmet from Specialized scores points in demanding enduro and downhill use with optimum adjustability, plenty of comfort and excellent ventilation. The integrated fit system allows you to easily adjust it to your head shape. The angle adjustment in the back of the head improves comfort and also facilitates optimal interplay between the helmet and goggles. The four cheek pads are also individually adjustable. Consisting of carbon, polycarbonate and EPS foam, the Gambit is noticeably lightweight. Inside, there are numerous channels to ensure constant airflow and keep your head cool. The MIPS intermediate layer, which absorbs the rotational forces acting on the head in the event of a fall, has been designed as a MIPS SL with special perforations, which also boosts breathability. The visor is firmly attached to the helmet shell and detaches automatically on impact to prevent injury. The helmet is compatible with the ANGi crash sensor, but this is not included.

Technology:

MIPS
MIPS is the acronym for " Multi Directional Impact Protection System" and refers to a movable protective layer that is built into most Specialized helmets. This inlay is connected to the helmet via an elastomer and can glide in all directions by approx. 10 to 15 mm. This absorbs and reduces the rotational forces acting on the head during a fall. In the MIPS SL version of the S-Works Road and the Ambush helmets, Specialized also ensure that the MIPS layer does not have any disadvantages in terms of ventilation and weight.
