The Mode by Specialized - Modern MIPS helmet for city e-bikers<\/h2>
The Mode from Specialized is an urban helmet with MIPS technology that was developed specifically for e-bike riders. It meets the test standard required for e-bike helmets, and thus reliably protects you even in the event of falls at the high speeds that electric bikes can reach. This is helped by the sliding intermediate layer, the so-called MIPS inlay, which absorbs rotational forces acting on the head in the event of a fall. Despite its closed helmet shell, which gives it a simple and modern look, the Mode scores with good ventilation thanks to its hidden ventilation slots. This means can keep a cool head on your daily commute to work or while you're out running errands. An easy adjustment system and shaping specific to each size ensure the perfect fit. The helmet is also equipped with reflective stickers and is compatible with the ANGi crash sensor, but this is not included.

MIPS is the acronym for "Multi Directional Impact Protection System" and refers to a movable protective layer that is built into most Specialized helmets. This inlay is connected to the helmet via an elastomer and can glide in all directions by approx. 10 to 15 mm. This absorbs and reduces the rotational forces acting on the head during a fall. In the MIPS SL version of the S-Works Road and the Ambush helmets, Specialized also ensure that the MIPS layer does not have any disadvantages in terms of ventilation and weight.
