S-Works Mondo 2Bliss Ready 28" folding tyre by Specialized - Concentrated endurance performance

The Specialized S-Works Mondo is a robust, highly efficient and grippy road bike tyre for long distances. In all weather and on both well-paved and bumpy roads, it impresses with low rolling resistance, low weight and fabulous puncture protection. The tyre is based on a combination of the fast-rolling GRIPTON T2 rubber compound for the tread and the high-traction GRIPTON T5 compound along the sides. A double protective belt - Grid Race in polyamide and BlackBelt in Kevlar - protects the supple 120 tpi casing against punctures and cuts. Of course, the S-Works Mondo can also be ridden without a tube thanks to 2Bliss Ready Technology.

It is a road compound that rolls very quickly and is highly efficient. The focus is on speed, low drag and energy savings. T stands for " Tread Compound" and the number 2 indicates, on a scale of 1 to 10 (with the extremes 1 and 10 not existing), the degree of damping and traction, which is in the lower range in this case.

GRIPTON T5
GRIPTON T5 is a variation of the Specialized proven GRIPTON rubber compound based on synthetic rubber and an activated silica compound. This is a cross-country compound that rolls fast, is very durable and offers good traction. The focus is on speed, agility and puncture protection. T stands for " Tread Compound" and the number 5 indicates on a scale of 1 to 10 (the extremes 1 and 10 do not exist) the degree of damping and traction, which falls in the middle range here.
