Specialized Stumpjumper Expert Carbon 29" Mountain Bike
Specialized Stumpjumper Expert Carbon 29" mountain bike - all-rounder with medium suspension travel
The Specialized Stumpjumper Expert is a very versatile 29" carbon trail bike with SRAM GX Eagle Transmission drivetrain and Fox Performance Elite suspension components. As a lightweight yet durable all-rounder with 130 mm rear travel and 140 mm front travel, it is suitable for various trails and riding styles. Its stiff but responsive frame with optimised geometry and kinematics ensures a lively riding experience. The Stumpjumper absorbs bumps on rough terrain and is always easy to handle. The progressive S-Sizing design is long, low and flat with little fork offset and a steeper seat tube angle, resulting in a smooth riding experience with more stability and optimised cornering and uphill riding. Flip chips allow you to further adapt the geometry to your riding habits and the terrain. In line with its rider-first engineered philosophy, Specialized has made sure that the bike's characteristics are the same across all frame sizes to ensure flawless performance. As a special feature, the Stumpjumper Expert also has a SWAT accessory compartment in which you can store important utensils such as a mini pump, a mini tool or a spare inner tube.

Technology:
FACTFACT is an acronym for " Functional Advanced Composite Technology" and summarises all the know-how that Specialized has in the use of carbon fibre. It is a holistic approach, which primarily concerns the bike frames, but is found in many components such as handlebars, stems, saddles etc. The starting point is always the awareness for the needs of riders and the capability to fulfil them. Next, the selection of fibres, resins and fabric layers takes place; in this process the quality of the carbon and the arrangement of the fibre layers play an important role. It is important to find the right set-up for the project at hand and the intended location or rather the area of application. It is often necessary to differentiate from model to model at several points. In the final step, attention is paid to processing the material in a way that allows the desired advantages in terms of low weight, rigidity and stability to be achieved.
Rider-First Engineered
Rider-First Engineered describes the design approach used by Specialized to precisely match each frame size to the target group. Simply put, smaller frames for smaller riders are built in a different way than larger frames for larger riders. This is done on the basis of performance parameters determined in practical tests, taking into account the forces acting on different areas of the bike when riders of different sizes ride it. Based on this analysis, the optimum tube dimensions and the appropriate carbon fibre covering for the respective frame size are determined. This way you can be sure that no matter what your height is, you will receive a bike that delivers optimal and controllable performance suited to your size.
SWAT
SWAT is the acronym for " Storage, Water, Air, Tools" and describes a whole range of solutions that Specialized offers for space-saving accessories. There are SWAT elements that are built into Specialized frames from the get-go, such as the opening below the bottle cage on certain mountain and gravel bikes. And there are SWAT components which can be retrofitted to any wheel, e.g. the Conceal Carry Tool or the EMT Cage Mount Tools for SWAT bottle cages. The aim is to always use an existing, unused space to carry accessories such as drinking bottles, inner tubes, tools or CO2 cartridges, while being within easy reach, in a safe space and without impairing the aerodynamics. This often results in backpacks or bags being out of the question and emergency solutions such as spare tubes tied to the frame are something that everyone wants to avoid.
