Unior Bike Tools Hanger Genie 1602/5 is a cleverly designed tool for aligning derailleur hangers. It is suitable for wheels from 20 to 29 inches in size and works with a measuring rod that is screwed into the derailleur hanger. Bring this into contact with the rim at a 90° angle and carry out a test at four different points. If you notice too much space between the tip of the indicator and the rim or if they collide, realign the derailleur hanger using the tool.

Application:

• Remove the rear derailleur, screw the tool into the derailleur hanger with the standard measruing rod installed
• For 20" wheels use alternative offset measuring rod (included)
• Extend the indicator so that it is in contact with the rim at a 90° angle, fix it with the knob
• Take measurements at four different points on the rim, preferably at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, bringing the valve hole into line with the indicator by rotating the wheel
• If there is a gap of more than 3 mm between the indicator tip and the rim or if the indicator collides with the rim, push or pull the tool to align the derailleur hanger
