This aluminium carrier is suitable for mounting on the suspension fork for use with special lowrider panniers. The maximum load is 10 kg, the maximum diameter of the fork leg is 40 mm. Before buying, it is essential to check the compatibility with your suspension fork.
The aluminium construction minimises the weight of the rack and makes it resistant to corrosion. Aluminium pannier racks are also much more dimensionally stable than racks made of soft steel wire, which can bend easily.
Lowrider:
A lowrider is a pannier rack that is mounted on the front fork. Bags are palletised to the right and left of the front wheel. The centre of gravity is thus very low and the steering behaviour, even when fully loaded, remains good.
