Choosing the right tyres always depends on what they’ll be used for and is always a matter of compromise in terms of what I want: low rolling resistance or the best traction? Do I need the best puncture protection or the lightest carcass? For e-bikes, the requirements are more dictated by the system, as the bike is demonstrably heavier: in this case, I want the highest possible traction and good puncture protection. The somewhat heavier tyres and the higher rolling resistance are compensated thanks to the motor assistance.
