Cult brand etnies was founded by skateboarders in 1986, and is still known worldwide for its functional skate and leisure shoes. Their accrued experience in the realm of action and leisure sports led etnies, in collaboration with freeride legend Brandon Semenuk, to develop functional MTB shoes in the classic etnies -style for the first time in 2018. Since then, Etnies has successfully developed shoes for mountain bikers who highly value comfort, grip and style.
Environmental commitment & sustainability are part of etnies' corporate culture. It is why the company has been working closely with the organisation Trees For The Future since 2011. Together they have achieved their goal of planting 2 million trees by 2020.
The “Buy a Shoe, Plant a Tree” project is now an integral part of etnies, and for every etnies shoe sold, a tree is planted.
