After a successful Kickstarter project, the Leipzig-based start-up tex-lock is following up with its new lock series and continues to pursue the ambitious goal of producing light, stylish and safe bicycle locks. The heads behind tex-lock are Alexandra Baum and Suse Brand, product developers in the field of technical textiles. Their passion for cycling and background in technical fabrics inspired them to bring both together. Because textiles can do much more than just clothing. In the Leipzig factory, for example, visually and haptically appealing, functional locks are now created from several layers of a wide variety of fabrics. The version 2.0 of the textile lock available here has been reinforced with a metal core and can withstand fire as well as bolt cutters and saws. The quick thief is thus effectively prevented.
