The Leipzig start-up tex-lock is following up on a successful Kickstarter project with its new series of locks, continuing the ambitious goal of producing light, stylish and secure bicycle locks. The minds behind tex-lock are Alexandra Baum and Suse Brand, product developers in the field of technical textiles. Their passion for cycling and their background in technical fabrics inspired them to merge the two. Because textiles can do much more than just clothing. Hence, in the Leipzig manufactory, visually and haptically appealing, functional locks made of several layers of various fabrics are being created. The version 2.0 of the textile lock available from us has been reinforced with a metal core and withstands fire as well as bolt cutters and saws. This effectively prevents opportunistic theft.
